The story
Orthodox-style black tea from the same Munnar (Idukki district) estate as our green, fully oxidised this time. The leaf is withered overnight, rolled to release the juices, oxidised in cool rooms, and fired dry. A brisk, malt-bodied cup with the theaflavin profile that orthodox processing brings out and CTC tea destroys.
