Clove

Whole clove buds grown under shade in the Idukki high-range, hand-picked before the calyx opens and sun-dried on bamboo to lock in the eugenol. Deep brown, oil-beaded at the head, and aromatic enough that one bud crushed in the palm scents the whole hand.
